Growing up in the streets of Chicago, "Get out of your feelings," was a phrase I've heard too often. The city was mean, at least it was in my area, and sensitivity was a sign of weakness. "Never act or react out of emotion," they said. A theory that totally went against my passionate nature. From as far back as I can remember, there was always this sense of connectedness to my surroundings that's too intense to ignore. Embracing this truth has been the key to my superpower. 

 

13 years ago, I began my journey of photography, as a self taught artist, with a camera phone. My lack of resources was never enough to discourage the desire to create. I was convinced that the most important element of photography would come from behind the lens. I'm intrigued by cinematic angles, complementing colors, lucid content; the art of photography. Around that same time, I began to produce music and write poetry. Although there was much to learn and love, the concept of being vulnerable to my craft perfectly transitioned across new mediums. At that moment, I began to realize the honor and blessing in following my own path. The magic of Dragan Noir Khydigi exists in the willingness and ability to express unfiltered emotion through my art.
